An Irish soldier, Captain A.T. Banon, settled in the Manali during the 1850s. He married a lady from Garhwal and planted the first apple orchard in the valley.
A farsighted man, he brought in a variety of fruit plants to the Kullu Valley and pioneered the fruit industry in the region. With over a hundred years of experience in the hospitality industry, the Banon family now offers to you a luxurious, centrally heated resort, inimitable in architecture, style and comfort, blending gracefully into the local environment. Designed by one of India's leading architects, Ram Sharma, the Resort is built over 2 acres of beautifully landscaped gardens.
